Inbound shipment

Dispatch and inbound shipments to Amazon FBA

We make up your consignment in line with Amazon's requirements and hand it over to the carrier – you keep control of the shipping plan and the carrier.

How the inbound shipment works

The inbound shipment to Amazon begins in your Seller Central: you create the shipping plan, specify which items go to which fulfilment centre and in what quantity, and receive the shipment ID and the shipping labels.

You pass these details on to us. We pick the goods from stock, pack them in line with the requirements for carton and pallet consignments, apply the box or pallet labels and hand the consignment over to the carrier you have chosen – including through the Amazon Partnered Carrier programme.

You receive a confirmation from us stating the number of packages as soon as the consignment has been handed over.

What Amazon requires of the consignment

The requirements for incoming consignments are detailed and are checked at goods receipt:

  • As a rule, cartons must not exceed 23 kg; heavier units need a corresponding warning sticker.
  • Every carton carries its own scannable FBA box label in addition to the carrier's shipping label.
  • Pallets must meet the requirements for height, strapping and stackability and carry a pallet label on all four sides.
  • Several items in one carton are permitted, provided the carton contents match the shipping plan.
  • Old shipping and barcode labels on outer cartons must be removed or covered.

What the inbound shipment costs

FBA carton handling costs €2.90 per carton and covers picking, making up, labelling the package and handing it over to the carrier. Pallet handling is €18.00 per pallet.

The transport costs themselves are invoiced directly by your carrier or by Amazon – we add nothing to them and earn nothing on the freight.

All prices are net plus statutory VAT.

Our services are aimed exclusively at businesses within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code).

For FBM consignments too

If you dispatch orders yourself (Fulfillment by Merchant), we prepare those consignments in the same way: picking from the stored stock, packing and handover to the parcel service using your shipping label.

That allows you to use the same stock for FBA replenishment and for your own dispatch, without having to hold the goods twice.

Frequently asked questions

Do you create the shipping plan for me?
The shipping plan is created in your Seller Central – we have no access to your account. You send us the shipment ID and the labels, and we take care of the rest.
Can I use my own carrier?
Yes. We hand over to the carrier of your choice, including Amazon Partnered Carrier.
Do you deliver to several fulfilment centres at the same time?
Yes. If Amazon splits your consignment across several sites, we make up correspondingly separate consignments.
What happens if Amazon raises a complaint about a consignment?
We document the number of packages and the labelling at handover. If a complaint is raised, you can use that documentation for your case with Amazon.
